We are continuously being bent, bruised and wounded in a variety of ways so life can teach us what is required for us to learn, on our specific path to greatness.

But, in those hard times filled with multiple lessons, we should be able to take a moment to appreciate the most overlooked aspects of our lives, that we not only take for granted, but don’t express gratitude for such blessings, each and every day.

Whether that be a different kind of situation/harder level of something that we could’ve been enduring right now, the gift of life, focusing more on who/what is positively supporting you on a daily, or even those that pray and wish the best for you on the lows without even directly letting you know.

The list goes on, of the amount of positive blessings we constantly have in our lives that unfortunately succumb to running in the background of our negative thoughts, anxious feelings, and emotional reactions

“You don’t know what you have until it’s gone”…or its been overshadowed/replaced

What will you do to better practice appreciating your present day gifts?

I should take my own advice more often…

Sometimes we forget we are human. We win, we lose, we live and most importantly we learn. We learn how to not repeat history to avoid future disappointment, yet find ourselves disappointed each and every time. Does that mean that all we do in life is disappoint, lose, and fail? No. It means that we are human.

Humans are meant to fail, sometimes FAIL HARD. And that’s okay. It’s okay to mess up, it’s okay to find your days getting ahead of you, it’s okay to constantly go through some annoying/repetitive issue that is more annoying than the sound of a fly, buzzing around your ear, and you can’t move fast enough to swat it away.

What is not okay, is to remain stagnant in the situation you are in and beat yourself up for it, when you should be moving forward with it. Use your present situation as pressure that makes you into the diamond that you cannot see now, but will become in the future. Use your present situation as ingredients that whips up a meal that tastes like the best version of future self.

Your present situation is part of YOUR story, that can only be written by YOU.

Will you finish your story? Or, will you leave it incomplete?

Throughout my academic career, I quickly learned that no matter where you go, you should give 120% worth of effort and make the most of any and every opportunity ‼️💯

recognized that effort during my Production Relief Internship during the Summer of 2022, and I am humbled, grateful, and excited to return back…but as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) Intern for the upcoming Spring/Summer term of 2023! 🎉🙌🏾

I would like to thank God for providing me with daily peace and confidence amongst the stress of Co-op applying, my loved ones for your continuous support and prayers, and everyone at WestRock that recognized how I’ve grown in a year’s time, and wanted to continue another working partnership this year 🙏🏾❤️

Through the strength and wisdom God will provide me, I promise to make my final Co-op the most Unforgettable one yet! 🫡

Life has a real funny way of bringing forth opportunities to you.

The kind of opportunities that feel like school tests that you believe you have not studied enough for and need more time. The kind that come at the most inconvenient, yet, perfect time in your life where you are at the brink of calling it quits and turning your back on what you initially wanted more than ever before.

We are our own biggest enemy. Not our friends, loved ones, mentors or teachers; it’s us. And, if we allow past mistakes, failures, insecurities or doubts to submerge ourselves in a state of complacency, the only type of success or victory we can constantly relish in, is the feeling of regret.

Rather than turning your back on the obstacles that block you from what you truly want to do and who you want to be, think of those obstacles (whether as small as a pebble or as big as Mount Everest), as one step closer to becoming the person you desire in becoming in this world. Take every second, day, lesson, practice, test, and obstacle one “baby step” at a time; and one day you will wake up with everything you have ever wanted in life in the palm of your hands.

You cannot escape working hard (it’s simple, but not easy)

Although the Post-Secondary System has its flaws, I know I would not be the man I am today without pursuing a higher education. From the courses I took, the people I’ve met, and the lessons I’ve learned (Pun intended), I have manually and thoroughly chipped away poor habits, reactive mindsets, lazy rituals, and inconsistent actions. I have met individuals that I will love and cherish by my side, while at the same time, embarking on a journey of self-improvement.

With less than a year to go of my Automation Engineering Bachelors degree, I have finally found my groove in taping into a work ethic, in and out of school, that leads me to having more proactive days while simultaneously understanding the importance of taking care of my one and only temple…my body

Time to finish this degree off strong!

Less than one year to go…

Although I found myself starting off this semester, rather slower than usual, hence the lack of recording of time lapses/workouts/writing poetry lol…I had a great opportunity to reset myself mentally throughout this reading week. Every week, I will always find myself feeling a step behind, missing something, or not feeling like I did enough work; but mark my words when I say that the hunger to accomplish all of my goals and finally wrap up my bachelors degree this 2023 academic/calendar year, is like no another.

Hoping for a more proactive 1st week of March 💰📚
