The McMaster Thespian Company is a non-profit theatre organization which specializes in developing and performing classical plays, including (but not limited to) scripts from the Classical Grecian, Elizabethan and Victorian eras. MTC provides opportunities for students who are interested in performing, technical theatre, and production, and creates an inclusive forum for artists and technicians to

develop and showcase their skills and talents. In the process, we cultivate theatrical performances that speak on various social issues, that bring theatre's origins to life, and that highlight the importance of live theatre at McMaster and in our surrounding community. Our current company is composed of actors, crew members, and production team members coming from different faculties and backgrounds. Among our members, we encourage artistic and technical development within the diverse areas of theatre and provide an environment where our company members can explore classical theatre outside of academic study.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be!" Luckily, our crew knows exactly what they're doing 💪🏼✨

Applications are now open for the crew of A Midsummer Night's Dream! Join our Set, Props, Costumes, Hair/Makeup, or Sound teams and help transform a stage into an enchanted woodland full of magic, mischief, and mayhem.

All experience levels are welcome, so whether you're a theatre veteran or trying crew for the first time, we'd love to have you involved.

Are you looking to pull out the paint, glue gun, sewing machine, and/or any other technical skillsets and lead a tech team? Then apply to be a crew lead! We’re looking for leads for our Costumes, Set, Props and Hair/Makeup teams, as well as lighting, sound, and Assistant Stage Managers.
