Back for another round of some open mic comedy at the Centre For Talking Arts. This set was interesting first for me as I got some comments on my Bob Ross T-Shirt and improvised the opening joke. Comedy can be fun when there is some elements of improv and without it being as thought out. Hope you enjoy this one.

Cheers.

Levity is a small comedy club located downtown. It is the very first location where I started my standup journey, and where I first began doing open mics. They host weekly open mics on Mondays and this is the first time I ever had the chance to record one of my sets. I hope you all enjoy

Cheers!

This was another journey I ventured on at the Centre For the Talking Arts (CFTA) for their Write on, Right Now, open mic event.

I read another of my poems, titled The Spinning Wheel, and then began to share excerpts from the beggning of the novel I am writing. The first chapter is going to be titled the Meaning Of Life, partly inspired from that Offspring Song, which if you have never seen has a pretty hilarious music video: https://youtu.be/avCteSZK-Ec?si=nYONN3fzdmcbQHRn

I came back to the CFTA again to perform a new set. This one was a collection of all new jokes that I have wrritten but never performed before. I did not get as many laughs as I was hoping, but that's okay as it's a learning experince and a chance to refine the jokes then test them out again and see if I can make them work, or if I should scrap them and try something else.

If you like this set, and haven't already then please check out my prevsious set as well. I plan to record my sets and post them here as I keep going with this, maybe even make some highlight reels and shorts of my best ones, and of course, continue to write jokes!

Music is one of the most important parts of my life, and I have always felt a deep connection to lyrics specifically. There have been times where I feel like the lyrics speak to me in a way I simply cannot explain.

It inspires me to write a lot of my own poetry, and at this open mic, I have shared some of it. I read the following poems of mine:

1. War of Fate
2. One Day
3. Every Single Day

I am working on writing more poerty, and look forwarding to sharing it with anyone who is interested. Thank you for all your support.

This was the first stand up comedy set that I have done at the open mic standup event at the Centre For the Talking Arts (CFTA). I only started dpomg stand up open mics this year, and just started going to this venue recently and it has been the most welcoming and accepting space I have had the pleasure of attending so far.

I hope you enjoy this set of mine, and I plan to continue to write jokes and go back and will post more to share my journey. Maybe one day I will have myself a Netflix special and if that happens, I will make sure all my supporters get VIP passes to the show.

Cheers

When I was younger people always told me that I'm not creative. I wasn't good at art, painting or drawing or drama or any of the other typical kinds of artistic mediums. Because of that I never really explored that side of myself.

Growing up I listened to a lot of music, it was the most important part of my life, specifically the lyrical content. Sometimes song lyrics can feel like they speak to me in a way I just cannot explain. Music lyrics, especially from that of the band The Offspring, inspired me to start writing my own poetry.

I also love stand up comedy and story telling as well, so I recently started thinking of funny experiences in my life and making them into stories and crafting jokes with punchlines.

At the start of this year I found the courage to go to open mic events and perform my own jokes and it's been such an incredible experience, I have met some amazing people and learned so much about how to work on my material and be confident in myself. Just last month I attended my first event for open mic poetry and story readings as well.

I plan to use this page to share my content with anyone who is interested, I would love to hear thoughts and opinions and am very open to hearing all feedback, as long as it is positive and not too critical or demeaning.

Cheers
