Currently having a really hard time judging whether there’s a market for this loose, gestural inky environment concept art.

Somewhere between scribble and paint is where I’m comfiest, but I’m not sure if I have a chance to land a coveted job without devoting another thousand hours into digital painting. Gotta just keep my head down and keep learning and growing.

I just created my first ever itch.io asset pack, called “Towers, Villages, and Huts” — a series of 10 environment illustrations you can use to tell stories.

I’m not in it for the money, but putting this together was a big step for me, I think, in calling forth the idea that fantasy art can be a career.

From January to September 2026, I worked extensively with CMHA Nova Scotia to produce illustrations, diagrams, graphics and layout support on a series of workshops, culminating in new powerpoints (and workbooks to match them) for each topic.

This was an incredible contract, full joy and I would work with CMHA again any day. Their team is exceptionally professional and kind, and putting these graphics together was one of the highlights of my year.

If you get a chance to take any of their mental health workshops, keep an eye out for my work!

Finding my style. Lately I’ve been scanning my fountain pen sketches, digitizing them, and adding colour. This workflow feels incredible and I’m obsessed.

This is based on an illustration I did in brush pen at PEI National Park.

I used a Pentel Canada brush pen.

I’m slowly putting together a children’s book illustration portfolio. If you know of any agents or illustrators who’d grab coffee, hit me up!

For years, I’ve struggled to bridge traditional and digital media.

Lines felt restrictive when it came time to digitally paint, boxes holding me in and flattening me.

Lately I’ve been thumbnailing ideas in in my sketchbook, so today I decided to try digitally painting one of my sketches, accidentally unlocking a workflow that feels perfect for my loose, gestural obsession with merging ink and paint, light and line.
