Four Musicians, One Baroque Adventure🎶

One of Canada’s exciting early music ensembles, Les Barocudas are known for their dynamic performances, imaginative programming, and vibrant approach to historically informed performance. United by a passion for the music of 17th-century Italy, the ensemble brings together Marie-Nadeau Tremblay on Baroque violin, Tristan Best on viola da gamba, Vincent Lauzer on recorder, and Christophe Gauthier on harpsichord.

Since releasing their debut album La peste in 2020, Les Barocudas have earned national recognition, including JUNO and Opus Award nominations, and another JUNO nomination for their 2023 recording Basta Parlare!. With technical brilliance, expressive artistry, and plenty of personality, they’re proving that early music can be refreshed and energizing!

This September, Debut Atlantic welcomes Les Barocudas for an eight-concert tour across Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick.

With Basta Parlare!, this JUNO-nominated early music ensemble brings the drama, energy, and emotion of 17th-century Italy to life no words needed. ✨
