I asked the ai image generator to make a cheese burek, in the shared an actual image of a cheese burek from her time there (it did not look like this) but it looked tasty and i thought I’d try it when i went to Belgrade but never did😂 the drawing was a bit smudged/pastel color was dull after spraying it when I brought it back and i was going to go over it but decided today a year later it’s fine and done! I was ignorant about the negative ramifications of generative ai, how bad it is for the environment, bias, now it’s taking over the internet😭 it was interesting at the time bc I love images and how ridiculous the pastry looked, but modern culture has become oversaturated in generative ai and ai imagery and it’s going to get so much worse, needless to say i won’t use it again

This drawing went through a lot, the last pic was what the previous pic looked like after I sprayed it with hairspray, what’s in the frame is what it looks like now! The centre flower I based on an ai generated image, the prompt was my interpretation of a photo of a plant I’d never seen before. At the time I was really intrigued by ai generated images because of its flaws, but I want to avoid using it again since it’s bad for creativity and the earth.

I had so much fun exploring Annapolis Royal and making drawings for Paint the Town this weekend!! Thank you to everyone .artsplace for hosting this event and supporting so many local artists. My hummingbird drawing which was collecting dust in my room sold immediately! Two of the drawings I made this weekend sold in the auction as well, (the seagull and the landscape) if you’d like any of the other drawings hmu!
