It’s not a real 40th birthday party without a day-long celebration, a house full of fantastic friends, boatloads of delicious food (a friend even gifted me a charcoal BBQ and made the most amazing food on it), thoughtful presents and 7 outfit changes! I remember when my dad turned 40, we had a big birthday party for him in the front yard, and I specifically remember this large pottery bowl he received as a gift that said “40 and still pooping!” Hahaha! 😆 …But actually, it said “40 and still popping!” It was a popcorn bowl, lol! I read it wrong.

But all this to say, seeing my dad turn forty was a big deal, 40 felt like big age! And here I am today, turning 40 myself!!! I have to say I’m genuinely excited for my forties and all the good coming my way!
