HEY! WHAT’S GOING ON?!
The iconic ’90s anthem What’s Up by q***r rock legends 4 Non Blondes is having a major moment again! From a cult classic to a viral TikTok resurgence (hello, Heated Rivalry fans 👀), this song is back in the spotlight, and we’re bringing it to The Big Sing! One iconic chorus, a whole lot of nostalgia, and a few hundred voices asking the same question at the top of their lungs.

All FALL long, catch us the second Tuesday of the month at The Basement of the Shoe on Argyle Street. In the heart of Halifax, in the heart of the action – come sing your heart out with us. Our pro tip? Drop by early for a drink from our friends upstairs at The Economy Shoe Shop. Caitlin recommends the salt and pepper chicken wings!

No musical skills required. You show up, lyrics in one hand and a drink in the other, and we do the rest. We’ll start by learning the melody, and we’ll work towards a final video performance by the end of the night. Co-taught by Rachael Delano, Caitlin Bowers, and Jack Bennet. The band wont be singing with us but if you personally know Linda Perry, maybe you could invite her to sing with us?!

Tuesday’s event with THE Rose Cousins hit different. The vibe in the room was electric, her quick wit and gorgeous vocals were mesmerizing, her song writing and ukulele skills transported us to a place of long lasting love, a love that returns and always comes back….. huge thanks to Rose for joining us as our surprise guest, it’s a night we will never forget.

Next month will be hard to top but alas we will be back at it again and can’t wait to sing with you!!!! We’re so excited to be singing a song that’s been on our list for ages. Please join us in singing WHAT’S UP by 4 Non Blondes 💛💛 tickets for our next event (Nov 10th) drop on SATURDAY at 10am ADT.

Tuesday was epic. Way to start September off with a dive right into the deep end singing some SUM 41 🎸 🎸
Can’t wait to do it again next month! And guess what? It’s time we invited another special SURPRISE local guest to the stage, featured on lead vox. In April we had the privilege of sharing the stage with Aquakultre , who will our surprise guest be next month??
You’ll only know when they walk out on stage with us on Oct 13th.

Can’t quite believe this but you’ve sold out 2 shows at Sanctuary Arts Centre in just 3 hours today 😭😭😭 we’ve been working round the clock and have added a SECOND evening show on Thursday, Dec 17th at 8pm‼️
*This show will be geared towards an adult experience though not strictly 19+
