"PURPLE TOMATOES", acrylic on gallery canvas, 8X8" (sold). A little reminder that part of the proceeds from ALL of my paintings of food go to help neighbours in our communities who are food insecure. Coming on the holidays and after I finish some work that has been commissioned I'm going to focus on diminutive paintings of food in the hope that we may help feed one another, literally and figuratively.

Back in Halifax after a really wonderful bit of rural R&R at home on PEI. This is a quick note to thank everyone on the Island who hugged and "held" me, holds me still, have done for so many decades. Extra love and gratitude to Kerry Campbell, Teresa Wright, Sabine Nuesch and Jenna Mac for their kindness and long-standing support. I'll post some inspiring images in the coming days but for now I have to get back on my easel, painting what I saw, the places and people who filled my heart over those lovely days... xo

Hello friends and happy Friday. After a fab and successful opening at the Teichert Gallery, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia I am arriving on PEI on Saturday with art to deliver and friends to see, staying for a few days in C's and my old stomping grounds. I am sooo looking forward to going home, resting and reading, being offline "for a minute", some healthy healing time after a home/studio move that took most of four months to complete! (My☎️is the same # as it was when I lived on the Island.)

Dear friends. I have a LOT on my plate right now. I am painting in the quiet hours, you know, but I have the opening
"Halifax Off the Map" exhibition at the Teichert (Art Gallery of Nova Scotia )on the 19th, then heading for PEI on the 20th. Delivering work and going home to the Island for my head. I've moved (fyi 67 boxes and easels are tough to fit into 600 sq ft 😎). Thank goodness I'm a creative cerebral. Then I am heading to Texas, for Connor's brother's wedding, dear Ali Malik to beautiful Hayley Caldwell. I am, frankly, overwhelmed. Air Canada hasn't been helpful. I'm working hard to keep in touch but please let me know if you need anything.

Happy memories of Connor Maurice Timothy O'Callaghan in 2008, age 18, at my MacPhail Homestead Art Opening, PEI. Dearest C ALWAYS stood by. me, in art and in life. Tho' I feel his steadfast love, loyalty and encouragement every day of my life, how I shall miss him standing next to me next week at the Art Off the Halifax Art Map "Art Off the Map" opening at the Teichert Gallery, AGNS!
🎨September 19th, 6-8pm. Hope to see lots of friends there!!
