Village Sound Inc. is seeking an Office Manager to join our dynamic team in the digital content creation industry. Our clients range from television production companies to advertising agencies and while prior knowledge of these industries is considered an asset, familiarity with these sectors is not mandatory.

Responsibilities
Job Duties/Key Responsibilities
Accounts receivable - invoicing clients, following-up on old accounts, facilitate International accounts receivable
(ex. W8-Ben, wire transfer info)
Accounts payable - pay and log bills/credit cards/rent, pay and log talent and suppliers, pay and log manager's fees to PHI
Log inter-company transactions, shareholder loans, etc.
Administer and monitor health plan
HST - working with bookkeepers, paying quarterly remittances
Payroll - approving payroll, adjusting for unpaid days, etc.
Monitor employee PTO (vacation, sick days, days in lieu etc.)
Manage on-boarding of new employees - interviews, job documents, email address, unpw etc
Manage termination of employees - ROE, etc.
Manage employee reviews
Managing employees - fielding requests, ensuring team follows procedures
Enacting procedures, policies and legal guidelines - create policies, implement policies and enforce policies
Create an annual budget - expenses, revenue projections, etc.
Supporting the senior management team with business analysis - create reports - projections, in-depth analysis for management and accounting purposes, monthly, quarterly, annually or as requested.
Providing quarterly rolling cash flow forecast updates
Work with bookkeepers and accountants for company year-ends
Supporting the company in its ongoing expansion and assisting with the setup of inter-provincial organizational structures in a tax compliant manner.
Management of Insurance, Taxation, and representing the Company with applicable Regulatory authorities
Qualifications
Top candidates will have…
A professional accounting designation, and significant experience (5+ years) leading the finance function in a range of small and mid-sized organizations.
Experience in contracting and negotiating with a variety of stakeholders such as customers, suppliers/distribution and partners
Knowledge/experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, tax, audit, human resources/payroll and corporate governance
The ability to evaluate accounting systems and controls, produce analysis and forecasts
Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence and the ability to create positive team culture
Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail
Adapts well to change and an innovative problem solver that thrives in a constantly evolving industry
High degree of competency with the following Software and a love of technology:
Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Particularly Excel and Google Sheets
Project tracking software such as Jira, Trello, Favro or similar
