We are so excited to be a part of this brand new exciting show next month! It’s going to be amazing.

Did you know that some of the most dazzling metallic greens and blues found in nature come not from pigments, but from microscopic structures in the wings of jewel beetles that refract light? Jewellry Noire celebrates artisans who transform natural materials—including ethically sourced insect elements, bone, stone, and metal—into extraordinary wearable art. Discover adornment inspired by the natural world, where entomology, craftsmanship, and beauty converge in unexpected and remarkable ways.

Today was a troll day. I sorted through my latest amazing haul, then picked 12 and removed the hair, cleaned up the left over hair and glue, made little vials of their original hair (not shown) that will get turned into accessories (yes I even record which vial goes with which troll 😆), gave them all a bath, and then started making troll “wigs”. This batch will have 2 jewel tone, 2 pastel and 2 earthy haired trolls all with medieval, Ren Faire, D&D, and/or Fairy inspired accessories. 6 of the trolls will also have dried lavender hair instead of the carded wool “wigs” I was working on today.
Tomorrow I brush out the wigs, make the lavender bouquets, and then give them all their own unique hair. Then Friday will be all about accessorizing! Should I share more in process troll pics? Do a video of a full makeover?

These trolls and a lot more will be available at ‘s Medieval Market this Sunday from 10-4 at the Halifax Brewery Market!!!

(Not the most glamours shots but I was working from the couch today as my office is currently unusable 😬 and the blanket on the couch is to protect from sick kitty just incase.)
