I’ve been slowly getting back to painting. I took a while off to do some paper crafting for a change. Here’s a few of the tiles that I have done so far to turn into paint skins for my jewelry. The tiles are glossy so you just have to slice off the edge’s and then they peel right off.

Made some acrylic paint skins to make some jewelry out of. I pour on glazed tiles and then trim the edges and peel off the paint skins once they are dry enough. So satisfying to peel the skins! 😆 I find everything about art therapeutic. Here’s a few I have done lately. There’s some great area’s to use on these. I’m pleased with how these came out.

So I decided to change things up a bit and do some Sheleeart Blooms for a change. I’ve only done these a handful of times before but I really like the look of them. They are one of the harder techniques to do. These are done with three layers of paint, the pillow, the paint colors and then the cell activator on top. Each of the three layers of paint is at a different consistency. Here’s a few pictures what I’ve done so far. Videos to follow.

This is a painting that I made for my Aunt Sheila just recently. I’m really happy with the way it turned out as this was my first time doing balloon kisses on a painting. They kind of look like flowers to me. I’m really happy with how they look. I added some leaves in at the very end to help finish the look off.

Here’s a painting that I did recently for my daughter. She requested a split base of black and white. Then she picked out a few of her favourite colors, which I think happen to look a bit like a Christmas theme to me. I can’t believe how much Christmas stuff is out in the stores already, and we didn’t even get Halloween over with yet! Regardless, it was fun to do. I’ve posted some pictures of this one before but I just got the video made. I hope you enjoy!

Made some paint skins this week to take to the retreat that I’m going to. They were a lot of fun to make. Going to try my hand at making some jewelry this weekend.

Hello! Hope everyone had a good weekend. I had some fun playing with the Sheleeart bloom technique. It’s done with three layers of paint all at different consistencies. It was definitely a challenge! Here’s my first attempts at it. I’m really happy with the results. The aim of this technique is to create colourful cells on the canvas.
