After receiving a beautiful gallery of photos taken by aka Dani] of our last recital before closing our doors, I felt ready to create our last post. Below are the words that I spoke at the end of our show on Sunday, June 19. 🤍

“It isn’t that I’m happy you’re sad, but I am so happy this space meant so much to you. The fact that HDA was a home and a space for you to find who you are and express yourself, tells me that I did my job. Ten years ago when I took over the studio, it was my dream to pass along my passion for dance and continue on the sense of home and family Terri and Carrie had established for me and so many others. The emotions I have seen and felt this weekend are proof to me that my dream came true.”

HDA has been who I am for 26 of my 33 years. It will forever give me a sense of home when I reflect on it.

Thank you. Thank you for filling my life with pride and sparkles, in so many more ways than one.

Please join us in celebrating our hard working dancers as they perform their solos, duets & trios in a showcase not to be missed. Don't miss a beat and join us for our solos, duets & trios showcase at 2PM and again at our full 2022 Dance Recital Friday, Saturday or Sunday of the same weekend.

Haliburton Dance Academy's Annual Dance Recital will showcase our local dancers as they perform routines they have been working hard on all season. Featuring children ages 2-18 years of age, this is a show that sells out every year and is not to be missed!

Hi everyone,

We hope you’re all doing well.

Due to costume shortages province wide, and also since we are doing our best to be as cost effective as possible, we are desperate for the costumes in the images attached to be returned to us for a refund.

Many of you have already returned yours, and we are so grateful.

If you have one of these costumes at your house, we are asking if you could return it to us by the end of this week. It would be more helpful than you realize.

Please no pressure to return accessories.

We are so proud of all of our dancers who joined us at this past weekend’s Dance Canada competition in Blue Mountain, Collingwood. The emotions were running high as we watched our beautiful, hard working dancers hit the stage for the first time together since before the pandemic ✨

Your patience, perseverance and passion shone very brightly under those stage lights dancers and we love you all so much ♥️

After keeping a close eye on weather predictions and watching out our windows, we have decided to play it safe and close the studio tonight.

Competitive dancers, please watch your email for make up schedules as we will be sending out dates and times this afternoon.

Enjoy your snow day dancers! And don’t forget to stretch and practice at home ✨
