Tonight we close the doors on "Punch Up" by Kat Sandler. It has been an incredible run with amazing audiences, laughter, and so much whipped cream. We truly appreciate everyone who has come to see the show and support this amazing and passionate cast and crew.

Playwright Spotlight!

Punch-Up is our second production featuring the works of playwright Kat Sandler. Kat Sandler, a Toronto local, has taken Canada by storm. Co-founder and artistic director of Theatre Brouhaha in Toronto, she considers herself both a Playwright and Director. Having won countless awards for her plays, including the New Play contest at the Toronto Fringe Festival and the Dora Mavor Moore award for Mustard (which we staged in our second season!), her works have been staged across Canada. Her play Yaga is currently being adapted for Crave and will premier in 2026!

Kat Sandler adapted and directed Anne of Green Gables for the Stratford Festival last season, creating a contemporary twist on a classic Canadian favourite. Her plays tackle key real-life topics and use humour to explore challenging issues, especially those impacting young people in today's world.

Fun fact: not only is she Ctrl-Art-Del's favourite playwright but she thinks we are cool (see third photo for proof!).
