Ardis Proulx-Chedore Announces Candidacy for Cochrane Town Council
Ardis Proulx-Chedore has officially filed her nomination to run for Town Council in the Cochrane, Ontario 2026 municipal election.
A lifelong resident of northern Ontario, Proulx-Chedore is widely recognized for her leadership as Manager of the Cochrane Regional Food Bank and Neighbour to Neighbour Thrift Shop, where she has worked to support not only Cochrane residents but also surrounding communities facing food insecurity.
With a background that spans public service, community programming, and social support systems, she brings a practical, hands-on understanding of the challenges facing northern municipalities. Her work has included coordinating regional food distribution, addressing rural service gaps, and advocating for consistent support systems for vulnerable populations.
In addition to her leadership in the non-profit sector, Proulx-Chedore has experience in community programming and public engagement, having previously worked in library services and community initiatives that connect residents of all ages.

Proulx-Chedore’s campaign will focus on community well-being, strengthening local services, and ensuring that Cochrane continues to grow in a way that supports both current residents and future generations.
