At each of our Brilliant Corners: a Silence Jazz Series concerts, Esme has been serving up amazing drinks provided by our drink sponsor, Revel Cider. They concocted a special Silence cocktail made with a vermouth called "The Space Between Words", cherries and sparkling water. Revel Cider has their own tasting room in Guelph on Dawson Road (across from Rona).

Only 3 more sleeps until the next Brilliant Corners: a Jazz Series concert. Come check out Rebecca Hennessy’s Makeshift Island concert on May 15th at 8 p.m. at Silence.

Rebecca is a versatile vocalist, trumpeter, and composer known for blending jazz with roots and singer-songwriter styles.

She has toured extensively with numerous musical projects, and has performed and recorded with Feist, Broken Social Scene, Adele, Ron Sexsmith, Owen Pallett, Andy Kim, and Yellowjackets.

What a concert last night! The Pat LaBarbera Quartet with Brian Dickinson (piano), Terry Clarke (drums) and Neil Swainson (bass) made us groove with legendary tunes and great stories of how jazz greats met other jazz giants.

Our 5th concert in the Series will be Rebecca Hennessy's Makeshift Island on Fri May 15th at 8 p.m. These shows are selling out, so make sure you grab your tickets beforehand (oh and did you know that students and musicians can come for only $15!). Well look at that! Pat LaBarbera's concert is our 3rd sold out show in the Brilliant Corners: a Silence Jazz Series.

Don't worry...you can still catch a show this coming weekend, though we only have 15 seats left. The piano and bass will be duelling with 2 duos on Fri May 8th at 8 p.m. at Silence, 46 Essex Street Guelph.

Matt Endahl & Tyler Wagler will be the first act.
Nancy Walker & Neil Swainson the second.
