It is part of the "The Promise of Music" global event: the first world congress on the social impact of music presented by the GGF, convening the world’s most inspiring artists, performers and changemakers for 5 transformative days and evenings of concerts, public forums, special events and bold new ideas." The central theme is that "music is central to being human. Music education should be the birthright of every child. It changes lives, and plays a key role in society".
From Mon through Fri during the daytime, the "Forum on the Social Impact of Music" at Toronto Metropolitan University will have 70 amazing speakers converging for 5 full days of inspiring keynotes, roundtables, and panel discussions, exploring the emotional, cognitive, and developmental power of music.
