My friends! It's here! The official poster for Art on the Street, featuring my art!!

Every year since the show's inception I've secretly wished that *I* could have been that year's poster artist. When they reached out to me at the beginning of this year I said yes in a heartbeat!!

This will be my 8th time participating. Take a stroll down memory lane in the following slides. My first AOTS was 20 years ago, fresh out of Art School. I was also there in 2007 but I can't locate any of those photos at the moment. 2018 was my first year repping Neurons and Nebulas, bringing my felt creations and polymer clay critters. Last year felt like my most cohesive collection. A long journey to where I am today!

Thank you and for this honour, and for all the years of success as of one of the BEST shows out there.

New math piece. Kaleidoscopic quilt in a layered Koch construction. Also vaguely Victorian. 🌸🏵️❇️❄️💠

This reuses a section of a test piece for the K page of my book. One of my first attempts at quilt piecing.

Available for first dibs at (June 13th) then Art on the Street (June 20th) if it's not swooped up.

**I normally don't do back to back shows but this year I couldn't pass on these 2 stellar events.

I've been sitting on a few pieces of big news, and here's one I can now share!

✨ I've been given a solo exhibition at .arts next year! ✨ (March to May 2027)

Yesterday, I met with the gallery director and the manager to see the space and brainstorm ideas. I left feeling like a rock star!

The gallery's vision is big and exciting. We hope to make this engaging, entertaining and interactive. Bringing Art and Science together, advocating for STE*A*M, and hopefully making an impact on all ages who come to visit!

Various representations of our planet, over the years.

It breaks my heart how we treat it, and how we treat each other. Let's be better. Not just for us right now, but for the generations who have to live here after we're gone. 🌍🌎🌏

⚗️ New Design 🧪 The amount of times I've been asked if I have any Chemistry themed pieces. I didn't know what to make other than molecular structures, pipettes or glassware.... which this is. If you have any other suggestions please feel free to comment.

Restock in effect! It's now safe to tell you that I will be at ✂️Gather in the County✂️ AND 🎨Art on the Street🎨 this summer!

They are back to back weekends, which I usually try to steer clear of, but when I was asked to be this year's featured artist for AOTS, I could not pass it up!

Both of these shows are TOP NOTCH. So well organized and attended, with extremely skilled and talented artists offering their work.

Calls are now open for Art on the Street so get your applications in!

It was pretty easy to lose sight of the good things that happened in 2025. To be honest, I was too mired in the rest of the world's really bad news most of the time.

However, if I look back at what I achieved this year, it's actually hard to believe.

🚀 Had my official book launch with the help of Royal City Science, The Bookshelf and Keltie Thomas at Royal City Brewery.

✍️ Signed books at the Firefly Books booth at the Ontario Library Association Conference in Toronto.

🗞️ Had an article written about me in the local news paper, Guelph Today.

📚 Spoke at both the Guelph Public Library and Stratford Public Library. And had my work on display at the Cambridge Library (tech and maker branch) tied over from 2024.

🖼️ Participated in the Guelph Arts Council 50th anniversary show and was included in the curated group show at The Art Gallery of Guelph.

🎓 Had my work displayed at Queen's University in Kingston with the McDonald Institute for Astropartical Physics. Then spoke about it in Picton with the County Arts Lab.

🇨🇦 Had a piece included in a collaborative project organized by the Canadian Council for the Arts in the nation's capital.

🧪 Was asked to donate to the Royal Canadian Institute for Science fundraising auction

➕ Plus two markets, a guest vendor spot, and seeing my book out in the wild in book stores and libraries!

I have a couple of things lined up for 2026 that I'm looking forward to, and I'm going to make it a goal to get started on the second book. Thanks for your support, always. ❤️🪡🔬

🎶 It's a cervical bone for the holidays 🎶

Specifically an Atlas bone. The first in the spinal column. It articulates with the base of the skull and holds up the head, the way Atlas held up the heavens in mythology.

This was a commissioned piece, so it's spoken for, but I've been meaning to add vertebrae to the repertoire.
