Hello friends. Please join me and over 75 other Ontario makers at the Evergreen Brickworks indoor holiday market in Toronto for the next 4 Sundays from 11-5.

I began this piece “Moody Blue” several months ago while in Grenada, W.I. Who would’ve known 5 months later that this island nation would be hit by a Cat 5 hurricane. We’ve heard from the locals that only the dock was swept out to sea. All else not too bad. Unfortunately, the adjoining smaller island took a major hit with significant damage and some loss of life. Hoping and praying they recover soon - wonderful people and a great place to spend time!

LAUNCHING today! ‘Heirloom Wood Designs’ is my new wood website, online store, logo and name. I’ve never sold online so this is all new to me. If you have any suggestions or feedback I’d like hear from you. In addition to my online shop I will also be spending a few summer days at the Kensington market in Toronto and the St. Jacob’s market in Waterloo region. Every product I design and hand finish is a one of a kind and crafted from local hardwoods. Over the last 4 years this has become a passion of mine! I am an artist whose inspiration lies in the forest…literally! Seeing the transformation of a dirt covered, often twisted log to a functional work of art that will last generations in homes gives me a ton of satisfaction. My works are now in 9 countries (thanks to the markets and world travellers!).

Nature is purely authentic in all its forms. It provides peace and clarity. I am exited to bring nature indoors for people to see and enjoy. If I can design something that you don’t see here please let me know. Being in a small shop space, I have some limits but I will always aim to please! This is a recent project that has found a home south of the border in NYC. Ice blue resin encasing strips of Canadian Black Walnut. This large premium serving board is 18”x36” and will no doubt impress. All of my designs are one-of-a-kind and made locally with food-grade quality materials. ✔️✔️✔️

LIVE-EDGE EXHIBIT! 🌲
Join us at our home on December 2nd & 3rd from 10am-4pm for a seasonal exhibit and sale of heirloom quality wood and resin designs. Benches, coffee tables and charcuterie boards will be on the floor. Local Black Walnut, Sugar Maple, Birch, Ash, Black Cherry and Honey Locust are our featured Canadian live-edge hardwoods. See some colourful resin rivers such as Cobalt Blue, Emerald Green, Aztec Gold, Blood Red and a warm Merlot colour. Best prices of the season! 🌲 Hope to see you this weekend. Happy holidays!
