Five years ago, I was having an incredibly difficult time finding a saddle to fit my horse. I had been riding in a Double J Pozzi, which I absolutely loved, but I was frustrated with how the saddle fit my new horse, Blue. I reached out to Double J for help and ended up flying to Texas to be trained in saddle fitting. Since then, I have had the privilege of helping others find the right saddle and gain confidence in their riding. Since our humble beginning, we have brought on two new fitters, Maude Houde and Emily M. Kimmett to help riders in Quebec and Eastern Ontario. I am incredibly grateful to work with these two amazing horsewomen. A big thank you to my professional partners, Leslie Richards-Burgess and Hugo Audrey Simoneau representing us. And to our current sponsored riders, Deirdre Smullen and Deb Olyschlager and past sponsored riders Alexis Weaver, Shelby Olyschlager, Anik Langlois and Patsy McMahon Wells. ❤️‍🩹Raffle to Recovery for Anita Ellis❤️‍🩹

As many of you know, on November 15, 2025, Anita Ellis suffered a traumatic brain injury while seasoning her futurity prospect. This came at what should have been one of the most joyful moments of her career-after qualifying 8th for her very first NFR, during her first full year of competition.

Because of the injury, Anita was forced to withdraw from the Finals. It was a heartbreaking turn, but one met with an outpouring of prayers, encouragement, and love from this incredible community.

Anita continues to attend ongoing doctor visits and therapy for TBI-related symptoms, and we are so grateful to share that she is healing. Recovery is a journey, and every step forward is one worth celebrating.

We originally planned to launch this raffle earlier, but chose to wait so as not to distract from the excitement of the NFR. Now, with intention and purpose, we are moving forward to help support Anita during this season of recovery.

To help offset the tremendous medical and therapy expenses involved, we are raffling the saddle we built specifically for Anita for the Finals—a saddle she has not yet been able to ride. This saddle will be replaced with a brand-new saddle built especially for Anita once she is able to return to riding.

Julie Plourde put her hands over her eyes and told her husband Yves Morissette that “I don’t want to see that arena” as their car passed the Thomas & Mack Center while on an impromptu mini vacation to Las Vegas in early November.
The Quebec, Canada, native had finished a heartbreaking 16th in the WPRA World Standings.
Just two days after returning to her Texas home in Krum,
Plourde got the call that National Finals Rodeo qualifier Anita Ellis
was injured by a futurity c**t. She needed to prepare should Ellis
turn out.
Now, a month later, she’s driving home from Las Vegas as the
National Finals Rodeo Champion Barrel Racer.
