Happy New Year Everyone!

We hope you are off to a good start in 2026 and that you are taking advantage of the winter season to relax and heal with the magic healing of colour and art.

I am off to a good start in that department and am gearing up to work on a calendar of workshops to help make winter go by a little faster.

Today I practiced teaching my first Waterclour 4 Beginners workshop.

As usual, my wonderful wife Terrie Pitfield was my first student 🙂

I will let her tell you in the comments how she felt about it as we started, then as we were right into it, about halfway, and then when she was finished.

She walked away from it while we had a hot tub. I had framed it and left it on the table.

What she felt when she walked past it will warm your heart.

Terrie lives with a permanent brain injury that challenges her in ways most people would not even notice.
She has a hard time shifting gears and lacks a little patience while learning something new (especially when it comes to art).

I have to work extra hard to keep her engaged so she doesn’t give up and walk away.

She made it through today and I’m so happy for her.
