Most bumps near piercings are irritation bumps (or minor hypertrophic scars), not true keloids. An irritation bump stays right next to the hole, feels soft or tender, and shrinks when the issue is corrected. A true keloid is an aggressive, permanent overgrowth of scar tissue that expands far beyond the original piercing site and requires professional medical treatment.

316L Stainless Steel vs Titanium, threadless vs internally vs externally threaded? Jewelry options are endless and are not just asked about for preference but client safety. 316L is an alloy that can contain nickel (common metal allergy), as titanium (F136) is completely nickel free and considered hypoallergenic.
