So many golf tournaments on now. This guy would make a wonderful golf prize or award. The artist is Pavel Barta who is known for his amazing bear sculptures and a personal favorite artist.

Today I want to feature this gorgeous set from Dawn Gullackson. Option of 2 or 4 side plates and 2 different bowls in this pattern. Each piece unique to itself but clearly part of a hand crafted set. Ideal plates for appies when entertaining and the bowls can hold a variety of foods or dips.

Grande Prairie develops an amazing amount of creative people. Alison is another of these locally grown creative people making waves on a national and international stage. I met her a few years ago when she was a freelance writer, she is now the Editor for Explore Magazine, she still does freelance work now with 2 stories in the Washington post.

BUT. She also has 2 articles focused on Grande Prairie coming out soon for another publication. See her post for a bit of a surprise which I have not spoken about yet.

As we wind down from another wonderful Bear Creek Folk Festival I want to share a song by gallery employee James Morrison. If James is working, you will often see him with a guitar or keyboard working out songs between customers.

James has played and volunteered at the Folk Fest in the past.

This is one of 2 singles he released last week. James is just another artist really coming into his own as a writer and performer.

I've seen mention of leaves starting to turn, and I don't know about you, but I think it's early yet!
With the chilly nights come the beautiful autumn colors, and I hear that is some people's favourite time of the year. I prefer the freshness of spring. What's your favourite season?

I was catching up on the latest edition of The Article and see a painting we have in the gallery from@Jim White featured in it. Also see one of my public sculptures inside.
