The sun came out today, just in time for the second group of children from Building Blocks to come and play at My Happy Place! ☀️🌿

It was such a lovely afternoon, and I especially enjoyed catching up with some of my amazing former students! ❤️

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming two fun groups from Stepping Stones to My Happy Place—one on Wednesday and another on Friday! 💚

Today, I even managed to snap a photo with some of my former students. Seeing them now as educators fills my heart. I couldn’t be prouder of the caring, capable, and passionate professionals they have become.

Days like this remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

Such a wonderful day with our friends from Building Blocks! 🌿💚

Judging by the last photo, I think someone had just about all the fun they could handle. 😊 Thank you for spending the day at My Happy Place!

What a fantastic afternoon! ☀️

Today we welcomed 70 children from A Bright Beginning to My Happy Place, and what a fun afternoon it was!

One of my favourite parts was catching up with some of my former students who are educators. My ex students leave a deep imprint on my heart, and seeing them continue to grow and inspire others is truly something special. ❤️

We were having so much fun that we completely forgot to take a group photo! 🤦‍♀️ We’ll definitely have to remember next year.

Thank you to everyone from A Bright Beginning for spending the afternoon with us. We loved having you!

What a wonderful morning at My Happy Place! 🌿✨

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the children from Illumi Child Care for an outdoor adventure. It was so much fun watching them mix magical potions, explore, create, discover, and simply enjoy being children in nature.

Their curiosity, laughter, and excitement filled every corner of My Happy Place, and it was such a joy to share this special space with them. Thank you to the amazing educators at Illumi Child Care for spending the morning with us. We hope to see you all again! 💚

Well… that got my heart rate up this morning. 😂

There I was, out in my housecoat and slippers, hair looking like I’d just got out of bed (which I had), happily setting up the mud kitchen for tomorrow’s visit from Illumi Child Care. (It typically takes an entire day to set up My Happy Place for a new group.)

Then… a school bus pulled up at the end of the driveway.

Instant panic.

My brain immediately decided, “You’ve written the wrong day down!”

I bolted into the house, threw on the first clothes I could find, and frantically tried explaining to my poor husband what was happening. Between my gasping, random sentences, and wild hand gestures, I was already making a mental list of everything that still needed to be done and convincing myself we’d just have to “make it work.”

A minute later, dressed and trying to look like I had everything under control, I went outside to welcome everyone…

…and the bus was gone. 🤦‍♀️😂

Apparently it was just a training session and they happened to stop at the end of the driveway…or it was a hallucination from being out in the sun too long yesterday.

So, if anyone needs me today, I’ll be recovering from the emotional roller coaster I created entirely by myself. 😅

🌿 What a wonderful day at My Happy Place! 🌿

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the children from Grovedale Daycare for an outdoor adventure. It was so much fun watching the children explore, create, discover, and simply enjoy being outdoors.

It was also especially lovely to see some familiar faces! It was great catching up with our former ELCC students, Ashish and Atinder, along with Alana and the rest of the wonderful Grovedale Daycare educators and moms. Seeing our graduates out in the community doing what they love is always such a rewarding reminder of why we do what we do.

Thank you all for spending part of your day with us. We hope you made lots of happy memories, and we can’t wait to have you back again! 💚
