Today is truth and reconciliation day, it is a day to honour former students of Canadian Residential Schools and all who been affected by this tragic dark history. Today I ask to take a moment and reflect upon, read, listen to a former student’s story. Despite the failure of Canada’s attempt to assimilate us, we are still here, learning, living, thriving. I’m honoured to work in my home community, I am proud to be indigenous.
