Gallery 2 - the Grand Forks Art Gallery is Boundary Country's public art gallery. Since 1984 the gallery has been a centre for contemporary visual arts and culture programming for locals and visitors alike. Gallery 2 is housed in the heritage 1910 courthouse building located right on highway 3 at the west end of downtown Grand Forks. On the main floor, the gift shop showcases a carefully curated c

ollection of regional crafts, the art rental gallery features a sample of local artworks available to rent, and the Heritage gallery provides a graphic overview of the history of the area. In the main galleries upstairs, engaging exhibitions will surprise and delight you and provoke conversation. Gallery 2 presents professionally curated exhibits that place Grand Forks and the Boundary Region in the larger contemporary cultural context.

Tomorrow, June 6th, is the last day to see Art Attack by the SD51 after school art program. This exhibition is in the Fogg Gallery. Big thanks to all the kids for their great work. Friday Morning Art Club - Tomorrow!

10 am to Noon.

This week, young artists will be creating their own Wood Slice Art using natural wood rounds as their canvas. Participants will explore painting, drawing, and creative design while transforming simple wood slices into unique works of art to take home.

A fun and hands-on morning of creativity, imagination, and making something special from nature's materials. We can't wait to see what everyone creates!

SUMMER OF CREATIVITY AT THE GRAND FORKS ART GALLERY!

This summer, imagination takes centre stage!

Join award-winning filmmaker Kostya Tyoschin, founder of the inaugural Forks Film Festival, for a series of hands-on filmmaking workshops and camps. Whether you're an adult, teen, or aspiring young filmmaker, you'll learn the fundamentals of storytelling, directing, cinematography, acting, and production while creating your own original scenes and films using professional equipment.

For young creators ages 6–12, our Summer Art Camps offer eight weeks of unforgettable adventures. Design giant murals, build a business at Makers Market Camp, create dragons and magical worlds, launch a Martian colony, train as a secret agent, draw your own comic book, build creature puppets, and help create a summer-ending carnival!

Every camp is packed with creativity, collaboration, hands-on making, and exciting projects to take home. Young filmmakers will even see their work premiere at the historic GEM Theatre during the Forks Film Festival this September.

Spaces are limited and programs fill quickly.

A focused, two-hour workshop. Designed to get your hand moving and your eye working. Figure drawing is one of the fastest ways to improve how you see and draw. In a short amount of time, you’ll leave with a stronger understanding of the human form.

New to drawing or looking to refresh your fundamentals, this workshop will guide you through the core building blocks of drawing the human figure.

Working with a live model, you will move through a series of short and slightly longer poses, giving you time to practice observation, proportion, and mark-making in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

ART ATTACK! Come out to see all the amazing artwork the students of SD51 created over the school year. Party starts, Wednesday, May 13 at 3:30 pm and runs until 5 pm at the Grand Forks Art Gallery. Lots to see, musical beats to dance to and of course friends and family. Great night had by all. A huge thank you to all of you who came out to support our local artists. We had near 300 people show up for this special occasion. Friends, Family, Fans...that's what the Grand Forks Art Gallery is all about. Leta Bak, Anna Semenoff, Steven Howard, SD51 - well done. Our guests were pleasantly entertained by a phenomenal musical trio that had the peddle to the metal right to the bitter end. Be sure to make it out to today's artist talks that will begin at 1pm with Leta, followed by Anna at 2pm. Who rules? The Boundary Rules!
