I want to come on here and say how incredibly grateful I am for all of the support.
It's my sincere hope that out of this tragedy, one silver lining will be that when the clouds clear, The Art Emporium will be a space built by the community. That Morgan Art Academy will be something we can all feel proud of. And that together, we'll create a space that is better than ever.
In just a few short days, you've helped raise over $3,000 through our Community Rebuild Mural, well over half of our initial goal. I can't adequately express how blessed, humbled, and grateful we feel to have the support of this incredible community.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting information about our fall programs to gauge interest and begin building our registration lists. Payments would.not be accepted until the fall though. If renovations are not completed by mid-September, we'll need to find a temporary home for Morgan Art Academy classes, and knowing our class sizes will help us determine what kind of space we need.
The weekly classes we're hoping to offer this fall include:
🎨 Squiggles (Kindergarten Grade 1)
🎨 Doodles (Grades 2-4)
🎨 Sketchers (Grades 5-7)
🎨 Teen Watercolour (Grades 7+)
🎨 Watercolour for Beginners (Age 18+, evening)
🎨 Seniors Paint (55+, weekday mornings)

💛💙 From the bottom of our hearts, we are overwhelmed by the amount of support we’ve received since the untimely flood.
So many have asked, “What can we do?” offering donations of money, time, and labour to help our rebuild. We didn’t want to simply accept support without a clear plan.
We wanted to find a way to turn this moment into something meaningful...something that reflects what The Art Emporium is all about:
Community. Creativity. Connection.
✨️ One of our main priorities is being fully operational by fall when our students at Morgan Art Academy return to classes.
It’s also important to us that they see firsthand that ART is impactful, and that community support can help create real change. ✨️

🎨🖌 The Community Rebuild Mural: “Piece by Piece”
Each year at Morgan Art Academy, our students take part in a community public art project. Last year, we created a mural that was proudly donated to the town. This year, we are creating something even more meaningful for our new future home: a collaborative mural titled “Piece by Piece.”
This collage-style mural will be created by our young academy artists, inspired by themes of rebirth, resilience, and rebuilding.
The best part? You can be part of it!
🎨 For every $20 donated, a tile will be added to the mural, painted by our students and sponsored by our community.
