Call for Board Members

Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park Ltd. is accepting Letters of Interest from individuals with experience in museum, tourism or related businesses that are interested in the Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park Board of Directors for up to a two (2) year term. As Blackfoot Crossing is a not-for-profit business this is a volunteer position, however honoraria for attending meetings and reimbursement for approved expenses is provided. Board members are expected to attend Board meetings and participate on committees when required.

Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park offers an authentic Siksika history and cultural experience as part of the Blackfoot Confederacy. Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park is an international tourist destination and provides other related economic, cultural, educational and employment opportunities for the Siksika Nation.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Knowledge and interest in international and cultural tourism, or in museum and related industry
· Knowledge of Siksika history and protocols
· Corporate and/or business development and operation experience
· Experience in policy, planning and financial management
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Understand and maintain confidential or sensitive information
· Willing to learn and understand the Siksika Cultural protocol
· Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality Agreement
