GIFF 2026 was A Summer to Remember!
It's been over two weeks since we wrapped the festival and we're still thinking about how much great of a festival it was.
14,336 people came through our doors and beach. Over 1,000 volunteer hours made it happen across venues, activations, and special events, with more than 70% of our volunteers having been with us for five years or more. Festivals are built on numbers, but they run on people who keep coming back.
70% of our films this year were Canadian and 44.4% were Manitoban, a reminder that GIFF exists first to give local storytellers a stage.
To our staff, who make the magic happen behind the scenes every single year: thank you. Cheers to 2026! 🎉
We can't wait to see everyone at the beach July 21-25, 2027.
