Little Hands at the Arts Building Little Hands is creative drop in for families downstairs at the arts building on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

Little Hands is a creative drop-in program for families on Fridays at the Arts Building in Lower Gibsons. Little Hands focuses on creative, social development-enhancing art activities that allow both children and parents an opportunity to connect while learning. Natural and recycled materials, permission to “get messy” and a warm atmosphere contribute to an experience that honours the investigativ

e nature of childhood while maintaining our unique Coast vibe of arts, culture and outdoor living. This program is delivered by the Arts Building in partnership with Deer Crossing The Art Farm. For the 2022/2023 season we will be doing a mix of indoor and outdoor meet ups, follow the page so you know what to dress for!

This Friday will be our last little hands 💓

We will be making ornaments with hazel’s beautiful screen prints from our previous session. We have plenty extra so if you didn’t attend last Friday, don’t worry you can still make an ornament ✨

10:30-12:30 slightly extended session for mingling and sharing what we have loved about this program.

End of an era: Little Hands at the Arts Building

This will be our final season of Little Hands. With the support of The Arts Building, Huckleberry Child Care and Deer Crossing The Art Farm, we have sustained this beloved program for 15 years! Organizational and personal changes in our lives have lead us to this decision, though we are sad to see this community offering come to an end.

We will have two final sessions on December 5th and 19th. These will be two-part screen print ornament making sessions with a final horrah on December 19th. If you are a past participant of little hands, we would love to see you (even if your kids are in school now) or we would love to hear your memories from your time at Little Hands in the comments.
