Come From Away Gander

09/14/2026

…and just like that, season 2026 comes to a close. 🥹

Thank you to everyone who shared in the magic of Come From Away here in Gander. To our audiences, our communities, and our friends near and far, your warmth and kindness keep this story alive.

Until we meet again, the kettle’s always on. 💙

💙

Nose to tail. Shoulder to shoulder. Strangers to neighbours.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, salute the first responders who answered the call, and celebrate the lasting connections forged here.

September 11, 2001.

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and everyone whose lives were changed by the events of that day.

We also remember the nearly 7,000 passengers who arrived in Gander after 38 planes were diverted to Newfoundland, and the people across Gander and surrounding communities who welcomed them while they waited to return home.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those who were lost, those who were there, and the kindness shared in our community during those days.

We remember. 💙

We’re grateful to Michael Paulson of The New York Times for beautifully capturing the heart of Come From Away and our Gander production, a celebration of the kindness and humanity shown by Gander and its surrounding communities nearly 25 years ago. ❤️
