As part of this year’s production of Come From Away in Gander, we’re thrilled to continue our We Were Here project: a preshow storytelling segment that features real voices from our community.
Last year, dozens of locals joined us on stage to share their personal encounters from those unforgettable days in September 2001, welcoming audiences with warmth, humour, and humanity.
This year, we’re inviting even more community residents to participate.
If you have a short story to tell, a moment of kindness, connection, or something unexpected from that time, we’d love to hear it.
HOW TO SUBMIT:

We’ll review every submission and reach out to those selected to schedule a performance. We aim to include as many voices as we can.
