We acknowledge that we work, play and learn on the unceded territories of Penelakut, Lamalchi, Hwistlum, other Hul'qumi'num and SENĆOŦEN speaking peoples, Coast Salish peoples of Galiano as well as the ceded territories of Tswassen First Nation. The Yellowhouse had long years of being a home / studio for many Galiano artists before becoming a contemporary art hub that it is now. Accessibility
The Yellowhouse Arts Centre outdoor stage has sloping and uneven dirt terrain throughout. The front entrance leading up to the outdoor seating area is not accessible for folks with limited mobility. Wheelchairs, scooters and folks with challenges on uneven ground can enter via the back driveway off Cain Rd. There is one bathroom on the premises, located inside the Yellowhouse, that is accessed via a wooden deck with a 4” curb. Alternate public bathrooms can be found on the ferry terminal dock.
