1, 2 or 3?
If you could only choose one of these paintings, which would it be?
Looking back on these 3 pieces, I realize they only exist because of where I live. In other words, I have much to be grateful for.
My epiphany today is that I feel like I have lived more fully because these paintings have come through the filter of me and surfaced. The wild beauty of this life is now emanating from my pores. How exciting!
The forest that wraps our log house; the churning of the salty, Salish Sea that splashes up on the rocky, southern, westcoast shores surrounding the small island where we live.
It's the air I breathe, it's in my hair, my cells and gently affects who I am. I am slowed and healed, happily.
These paintings that come from my studio are a celebration of the grounding, calming and peaceful living I have. It is a gift. I hope you get a sense of the inspiration of the nature I'm wrapped in from my art.
My art is my share, as is this post, to wherever you are. How else does an artist pay it forward other than through their creations?
May these paintings feed something in you that connects you back to our source. I believe we are all connected. Nature is my reminder.
Kindly give this post a double-tap if you can relate to any of what I'm trying to put into words. Feel free to share if you know someone you think might appreciate this đź‘‹.
