Good morning! Our Knitting through History post today features fingerless mitts from around the 1920's, showing that classics never go out of fashion! Older patterns like this were written with assumed knowledge, and might be difficult for a beginner today to figure out however, we encourage anyone to give it a try if they want to bring a piece of history back to life. A rough modern equivalent would be worsted weight yarn and 4.00mm needles, but as always check your gauge. 🧶🧶🧶

Hello, everyone! This week's Yarn Spotlight is Estelle Highland Alpaca Fine. This fi*****ng weight alpaca blend is soft and smooth, consisting of 53% mulesing-free Highland wool, 20% superfine alpaca and 27% recycled nylon. As this is not superwash, handwashing in cold and laying flat to dry is the recommended care. The fine weight lends itself well to projects such as lace shawls,hats and socks. One skein is 100g and 380m/415 yards. $21.50 +tax
