Which would you choose? The Light Remains, or Made to Flourish?
These paintings were inspired by you! I had a poll up awhile ago asking if I should make a lighthouse series or Tree of Life series with two older paintings I was covering up. It was equal across the board so I created one of each. Same colour scheme, both with different meanings. Trees of Life and Lighthouses are a few of my favourite things to create.
These originals paintings are now available. Www.alishanicholsonsart.com

His Sacrifice

There are some paintings that are simply difficult to create. His Sacrifice was one of them.
There were moments while painting this piece when I had to stop, overwhelmed by emotion and gratitude, there were many tears. Moments where all I could do was thank Jesus for what He willingly did for us.

The darkness in this painting represents the weight of what He carried, our sin, our shame, our brokenness. Though, He didn’t remain in the darkness, ahead of Him is light.
The light represents the presence of God, the hope we have because of the cross, and the promise that darkness would not have the final word.
And above Him, the dove represents the Holy Spirit, the Helper Jesus promised would come and remain with us.

Day 6 of sharing Childlike Faith unti it sells. The Lord gave me this vision when I was praying to have the faith of a child. The innocence and purity they have. Bring me back oh Lord.

Day 4 of revealing Childlike Faith until it sells.
It’s based on the moment in Matthew where Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me,” and I couldn’t shake the feeling of what that really looks like.
Kids don’t hesitate, they trust, they come close without overthinking it, the don’t question whether they belong there.

And somewhere along the way… we lose that. Life hardens us, we question more, we hold back. That simple, childlike faith starts to slip. It’s not supposed to be that way.

This piece is a reminder to come back to that, to sit with Him again without all the walls.
To trust like that again.
That’s what I see when I look at it.

Day 3 of sharing Childlike Faith Until it sells! Every time I walk by this painting in my home I get giddy and think of sitting at the feet of Jesus. I cannot wait until that day comes. To gaze up at Him with childlike faith.

Day 2 of sharing Childlike Faith until is sells. No fear to come, no need to hide, Just open hearts and hands stretched wide. No questions asked, no lines to prove. Just simple trust that dares to move. We lost that faith along the way— But He still calls us back today.

Day one of revealing “Childlike Faith” until it sells. This painting is about striving to have the faith of a child. Not to get caught up in the world but to have the faith that a child has.
