It has been over two years now since we last offered our summer day camps. Providing outdoor education is one of the pillars that we built Second Nature Outdoors on and specifically for youth. Since the return of a few programs last summer we have been working to develop a plan that will safely return youth outdoor education programs to Second Nature Outdoors.

While we are still not ready to bring back the full day camp experience this year, we are excited to be offering a number of half day Club programs. These clubs will include a Sailing Club, Kayaking Club, SUP Club, and Adventure Club. Registration for these clubs will open Friday April 1st. More information will be available on our website soon.

We want to thank all of the families that have taken part in our programs over the years. We know everyone is looking forward to getting back to normal and so are we. It is just going to take us a bit more time to recover. We hope to see you all on the water this summer.

COVID-19 Camp Update
It is with great disappointment that we announce that due to the COVID-19 pandemic that we will not be offering our summer camp programs in 2020. At Second Nature Outdoors we put safety first in all of our programs and at this time we do not feel that we can ensure an environment that allows for social distancing to take place and maintain the safety of both your children and our staff. We are presently in the process of refunding all existing camp registrations in full.

We want to thank all of the families that have supported us over the past seven years and assure you that we are not going away, just taking a break from camps for 2020.

As restrictions begin to lift Second Nature Outdoors is planning to open for watercraft and bicycle rentals. For those family/friend bubbles we will be launching some new fun family adventures based on our camp program. Reservations for these adventures will be available once restrictions lift.

As a result of the current Covid 19 pandemic we have decided to suspend summer program registration. This does not mean that youth programs are cancelled for this season however until there is clear direction from government as to whether summer day camps / daycare's can reopen we have decided to pause registration.

For anyone who has already registered for one of our programs rest assured that if in the event we do cancel, or change our programs for 2020 you will have the option for a full refund or for credit toward 2021 programs.

Please take care of your yourselves and your family during this time and we look forward to getting outside with everyone when it is safe to do so.

COVID-19 Update for SUMMER CAMPS:

We are aware that parents are hesitant to register for camps or make summer plans because of the uncertainty of the long-term physical and social effects of the COVID-19 Virus on our community.

We at Second Nature Outdoors, want to assure parents that we are planning for this season under the assumption that we will run all programs in their entirety and we will make adjustments along the way following the direction of government and the Chief Medical Officer.

Should programs be cancelled for ANY reason by Second Nature Outdoors, then we will issue full refunds to parents.

Also, in the response of uncertainty and with how fast plans for families will change this summer, we are adjusting our cancellation policy (2020 only) for camps by:

-Removing any administration fees as a result of cancellation or camp week transfers

-Changing the required 1-month cancellation notice, to a two-week notice without penalty for ANY reason. Any cancellations within 2-weeks from the start of your child's camp will require a doctor's note should the reason be medically related.

We want you to register for camp with confidence that Second Nature Outdoors always has the best interest of your child in mind.

Please take care of yourselves and your loved-ones and remember, you can self isolate outdoors! So if you are healthy enjoy a nice walk, snowshoe, cross country ski, or just play in you backyard.

Summer is fast approaching and camp spots are going to fill fast!

Second Nature Outdoors wants to give your child the opportunity to spend summer outside soaking up the sun.

Our camps offer a wide variety of summer activities such as kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, canoeing, rock climbing, biking, and more!

There is a place for everyone at Second Nature, our camps welcome all youth ages 6-15.
