Audition Call to join the DF Competitive Team for our 2026-2027 Season!

When:
Saturday June 6th 2:30pm-4:00pm

Who:
Dancers ages 9+
(Who will turn 9yo by Dec 31st 2026)

What to wear/bring:
Wear comfortable dance clothing. Hair tied back in ponytail or bun. Bring footwear for contemporary (socks/barefeet) and ballet (slippers).
Please also bring your water bottle.

Our DFComp Rehearsal Schedule:
Our competitive team rehearsals run every Friday September to March 4pm-7:30/8pm.
Attendance to all rehearsals is mandatory.

Our DFComp Performance Schedule:
From March to April we participate in 4 performance events including:
Youth Dance Fest East,
two Fredericton local competition events,
and one out of city (Saint John or Moncton) competition event.
These events typically require availability throughout the entire weekend period (Thursday to Sunday).

Quick clarification for Monday, May 25th studio rehearsal: Dancers in Act 2 (seniors and comp) will start at 4:15 pm. Dancers in Act 1 (all classes) will start at 5:15pm. Rehearsal ends at 7:00pm.

Please plan ahead if you are coming to the studio for class this Saturday, May 9. A 5K race will close Queen Street (Regent to Smythe) and the eastbound lanes of Pointe-Sainte-Anne Boulevard from 6:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Southbound traffic on the Westmorland Street Bridge will be detoured to the Smythe Street exit.

Mornings are dedicated to exposure and training in various genres of dance while afternoons are set aside for Choreo Lab where dancers work in pairs or small groups to choreograph their own pieces, which are performed at the end of the week in our Family Showcase. Come ready to learn, try new things and create your own dance moves! Monday to Thursday are full days and a 1/2 day on Friday. 🩰
