Her name is “Kiwonik/Otter” the day before the first snow fall we had the pleasure of launching our 16ft birchbark canoe into the Wolastoq, what a great experience building this with the “Under one sky” crew in Fredericton NB. Kci-Woliwon to U1Sky (Charlie Gaffney) for trusting me to lead this project, to all participants that gave endless hours to completion, Gabriel Frey for coming yo help us get the amazing bark that we used for the build, elder Alma Brooks for blessing and naming her.
