Let’s Learn about traditional Métis plants!

This shrub is known as “Muskego” to Métis people. Commonly used as a hot beverage, Labrador Tea provides relief from stomach aches, colds, and can soothe the nerves.

Externally, it can be used as an insect repellent. Labrador Tea prefers moist to wet peaty soils, especially in bogs and wet coniferous forests.

MEDICINAL USES
Diuretic
Clears mucus from airways
Strengthens the lungs

Recovery journeys can be lonely paths to navigate. We have a community to help you along the way.

Connections in Recovery is designed as a safe space for individuals, friends, and family whose lives are affected by addiction. Join us every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to connect and build friendships in support and solidarity with each other’s recovery process.

In-person gatherings will begin on March 12 with the added option to participate online via Zoom. Sharing circles featuring a special guest will occur on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Pow Wow Zumba is a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance styles with Latin, Reggae, and Hip Hop. Classes for Pow Wow Zumba are 1-hour per session, allowing for warm-up, a full dance workout, and a cool down - giving participants a full workout. No dance experience necessary!

Adult ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) can impact our lives in many different ways. It can affect our relationships, our workplace, and even our own day-to-day activities.
