Hi everyone. I’m excited to share my art with you today. Here’s a little bit about me.

I’m a veteran of the CAF. In my retirement I started developing an interest in art as a hobby, business and therapy.

My interest is in working with soapstone. This is an incredible medium to work with. I take raw stone and turn it into something beautiful. My pieces depict Canadian wildlife. I mainly focus on bears as their fierce, rough strength is something I relate to my military career. I have added a soft, gentle appearance to these animals. You’ll notice they are rounded and robust. My daughter thinks they are very cute and cuddly. Each bear has its own unique personality.
