Deb's Accidental Art, CZT Hello! I'm Deb Bowyer. I'm thrilled to be doing and teaching the Zentangle ® method and Zentangle inspired art. Hi I'm Deb Bowyer. Hence, the "accidental" part.

I’m a Certified Zentangle Teacher trained by the folks at Zentangle, Inc. Since March 2020 I've been teaching mostly online via Zoom. So, the hardest part about starting an "art" business, for me, was choosing a name! I never thought I'd have to come up with something. I had never sold my art before so this was a new thing. I tossed around a few different things, and came up with this one. I do fe

el that I have stumbled into the art world. I have never had any formal training, outside of the local classes that I've attended over the years, and I don't have an "art degree" by any means. But I have always appreciated art and the beauty and diversity of it. I discovered the Zentangle (r) method in 2013 and started dabbling in it shortly thereafter. I got serious about it in 2015 and went for my training in 2016. I started this page in 2015 after being asked to sell some of my art. I am a Certified Zentangle Teacher and am thoroughly enjoying sharing this relaxing art form with others. I mostly teach now but do sell the odd art item. I thoroughly enjoyed Rachael Schwartz’s class and style of teaching. She’s a gem. Thank you Rachael. I don’t think I’ve taken a class from her before.

I’m taking some moments today to work on my SummerTangle tiles.

Today I’m watching Rachael Schwartz’s Summer on the Seine recording. She deconstructed several tangles when she was on a river cruise on the Seine. I love that. We all see patterns on our travels. We don’t always take the time to deconstruct them.

Loving it so far.

My Mildliners got a bit streaky on the background and that’s ok too. Softened it up a bit by adding some Stardust clear Printemps. I like it.
