Thank You, John
After more than 25 years as part of the Phoenix Theatre family, including the past 12 years as our General Manager, John has played an extraordinary role in shaping the Phoenix Theatre into the organization it is today.
During his time as General Manager, John guided the Theatre through a period of significant growth and change. He oversaw major improvements to our facility, secured substantial grant funding, developed new programs and services, strengthened partnerships throughout the community, and continually found new ways to ensure the Phoenix remained a vibrant and welcoming place for Fort Nelson and the Northern Rockies.
But John's contribution to the Phoenix goes far beyond projects, programs, and funding. He has devoted an incredible amount of time, energy, and care to this organization and the people it serves. He has worked alongside countless employees, volunteers, artists, board members, sponsors, community organizations, and patrons, building relationships that have helped make the Theatre an important part of our community.
Through successes and challenges alike, John has been a passionate advocate for the arts and for the belief that a community theatre is much more than a building. It is a place where people gather, where memories are made, where young people discover the arts, and where our community comes together.
As John prepares to begin his next chapter with Grande Prairie Live Theatre, we are incredibly grateful for everything he has given to the Phoenix. We will certainly miss his knowledge, leadership, creativity, and commitment, but we are also excited to see what he accomplishes in this next opportunity.
On behalf of the Phoenix Theatre Management Society, our staff, volunteers, patrons, and community, thank you, John, for twelve remarkable years of leadership and for more than two decades of dedication to the Phoenix Theatre.
The Phoenix is stronger because of your time here, and you will always be an important part of its story.
Congratulations, John, and thank you for everything. β€οΈ
