What a fantastic sixth week of Summer Camp! โ๏ธ
Another week has flown by, and our campers had an amazing time filled with new experiences and lots of fun!
This week we had some very special visitors! Our local paramedics and firefighters stopped by to teach our campers some important safety skills and give us an inside look at the fire truck. The campers loved learning about the important work they do in our community!
We also headed out for a walk along the 8th Street trails, where we got some fresh air, explored the outdoors, and enjoyed some time together in nature. We also got to make some fun bird feeders to take home with supplies found on our walk combined with some bird seed.
We were also excited to welcome Rainy River Mine, who gave our campers a really cool rock presentation! The campers had the opportunity to learn more about rocks, mining, and what happens beneath the ground.
And of course, we had plenty of fun back at camp! We held our very first Move & Munch session, and got in the kitchen learning some valuable skills and made a yummy snack, and ended the week with a Glow Dance Party! We also had a cozy PJ Day, with everyone coming to camp in their comfiest pajamas!
A huge thank you to our amazing camp staff, our community visitors, and everyone who helped make another week of camp so memorable. We truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to share their knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm with our campers!
Thank you so much to our guest presenters who really make camp special! you guys are greatly appreciated by all the campers and staff for taking time from your day to come and see us!
Thank you to all of our campers and families for another fantastic week. We can't wait to see what Week 7 has in store!
See you all next week!
