Hashtag Shouldbegood Art by Tobi Happily creating questionable art (Is it art?) to keep me from concentrating on things that matter and other work I should be doing.

This sunflower painting took so much before I was happy with it. It is a very happy sunflower now 🌻.

So happy with how this turned out. It is so satisfying when you decide to apply what you have learned to a new subject and it actually works! This great blue heron is currently in display at Connell House.

I really like how this looks in a frame. Hanging on the wall like a family portrait 😁

I love how this could be the dawning of a new day or the last beautiful rays of light before the sun disappears behind the distant hills. Both times of day are peaceful, quiet, full of promise. A time for reflection, gratitude, mindfulness.

Just finished this graduation card for a friend of mine. I have changed my mind on it at least four times 🤪. Thank goodness for liftable paints and some lessons on how to show volume and light. My favourite part is the bow 😊. What is your favourite part?

Work in progress! There is something very relaxing and gratifying about adding paint and seeing things appear that didn’t exist before. Three random blobs can turn into anything you like. A squiggle suddenly becomes a petal, when a small shadow is painted in. There are hours in this painting and many more to come. Love the process 🥰
