I want to inspire other women, especially moms struggling with postpartum or even body imagine in general after having a baby! I myself have struggled with badly with both; and very few know that. If you are out there; and you feel alone, your not! What you are feeling is not crazy, it is real, and it is O.K. The changes our bodies go through to create life is a miracle, and we often forget it didn't happen over night so we shouldn't expect to bounce back over night either. Be patient, and of all things; ladies, be kind to yourselves.

I love what this project is all about! Accepting ourselves for all we are. Every imperfection, and all that makes us unique. And sharing that with the world. This world, that is so full of judgement, where you can't make a single decision for yourself without someone else's opinion. I want to take a stand to that! I am not a "w***e" for taking my clothes off. I am liberated, and free! I shouldn't cover up because I'm not a size 0, my spouse thinks I'm beautiful - and I do too!

This project speaks to me because I am now a mother of a girl, and I know how crazy cruel this world can be to women in particular. I want not only myself to benefit from this project by accepting my body for all that it is, but more importantly all that it has given me; my beautiful baby girl. I hope I can show these photos to her when she is older and when she's feeling insecure and vulnerable, that she can find strength through me! I want other women to see how truly amazing our bodies are (in all shapes and sizes) and I hope that my photos can bring confidence to someone else struggling with their body image. I am no where near my goal weight, and I never thought in a million years I would ever take my clothes off for photos until I reached that "goal" BUT, this project helped me realize I should love my body through every stage. So please, don't wait to be the perfect size, or a certain number on the scale. You are beautiful, just the way you are.

"It seems that in my life my weight has been a regular topic. In high school, I was a little more chunky, after graduating, I lost a lot of it. I never really hit that happy medium, I went from being a "fat cow" to "starving skinny", even from family. I also have had sensitive skin with acne for as long as I can remember. Confidence has never really been in my corner. I have stopped listening to the comments on my weight, I eat what I want, when I want it. As for my skin, finally learning a little more on the makeup thing. It is so nice to actually have people look in my eyes instead of picking apart what is wrong with me. I may have stopped listening to the negative feedback but I still didn't think this farm girl would be classified as beautiful. I have noticed that with every tattoo I get, I feel more like a piece of art. Each has a story that is close to my heart and I know that when I look at them, that is probably my genuine smile. This is the first time I get to show them all off and knowing that, I hope there is some confidence that shines through."

"With me doing this project, I want confidence to spread. I didn't think I would be able to do this, especially with the pictures going on the internet. I hope that women can see that no matter what you do, you can't please everyone. Do what makes you happy because you are the one that matters. Once you find that happiness, the confidence will shine."

"This project spoke to me because it is a tasteful way to show the confidence of women. I barely even know how to pose for a photo, let alone being n**e in front of a camera. I know that I will benefit from this by seeing myself from a new perspective and pushing myself to become comfortable in new adventures. I am hoping to show that confidence can be found, no matter what happened in the past."

"At first I just admired the bravery of these women, and beauty of the photography. I saw a friend from high school in those photos, I realized that I could possibly go through with it as well. I wanted to feel beautiful in my own skin, which doesn't happen often."

I wanted to prove to myself that even if im a new mom and yes my body has changed that I am still beautiful.

My story, I come from Ontario, never thought I would leave my family but something wasn't fulfilling me there. I moved here and found my happy place. I met the my husband and thought I couldn't be happier with life or myself but when i found out i was pregnant and gave birth to our son that's when I realize that this was happiness and that i finally loved myself and my body. I'm a mom, I have stretch marks, dark circles underneath my eyes but everyday I look at myself and find myself beautiful. My body gave me the most precious thing in this world, my son. How could i hate my body for bringing him into this world. I just can't.

I would like to inspire other moms that struggle with finding themselves after giving birth. Our body is an amazing thing . It houses another heart for 9 months, what can be more beautiful then that?

I feel this project is about empowering women to accept themselves. We all struggle at some point in our lives with body image thanks to the media and I hope this projects makes all women feel beautiful, strong, and proud to be who they are.

This project to me is a way for me to prove to myself that I am beautiful during pregnancy and especially afterwards. Of course I also wanted to know how posing in front of a camera with just some flowers feels, because after all, I am one of 2 people that will be behind the camera for these sessions 😀
