✨ Meet Ana ✨
If you’ve picked up your weekend pass over the last couple of years, chances are you’ve met Ana.
People might think her job is simply smiling, handing out wristbands, and giving everyone the important “don’t lose your wristband” speech — with a Spanish word or two sprinkled in to make the serious stuff go down a little smoother. 💃🏻
But behind the scenes, Ana helps coordinate orders and keeps everything on track, balancing timelines and logistics while working remotely from town. It takes patience, coordination, and a lot of communication to make it all come together.
💚One thing people don’t realize about running a festival:
Meeting timelines and coordinating countless orders and details — even from a distance.
💚Dream Wapiti headliner:
Ricky Martin. “We will shake our bom bom while blowing the budget!” 💃🏻😂
💚Best local hidden gem:
The Fernie Museum and its tours. Maybe not exactly hidden, but a beautiful way to discover the history of this special place. 👌🏼
💚Favourite Wapiti memory:
Attending her very first Wapiti as a festival-goer, and now continuing the tradition as an organizer alongside her familia and friends.
That’s one of the things we love most about Wapiti — festival fans become volunteers, volunteers become family, and somehow every year the community grows a little stronger.
Thank you, Ana, for bringing your joy, warmth, and a touch of Spanish flair to Wapiti. 💛
