Manitoulin Plein Air 4th annual Manitoulin Plein Air Festival, exhibition opening Saturday August 29, 2026, at Studio 6, Gore Bay Harbour Centre.

Painting period is April through August. There are 10 official group paintouts. Open air, on site, across Manitoulin Island. Manitoulin Plein Air is organized by the usual Out-Rageous free-range suspects on Manitoulin Island. Your contact, should you need one, is Helen Siksek. Please spread the word, if anyone wishes to participate in the 2026 Manitoulin Plein air exhibition, it's not too late.
To qualify, you must attend 2 group paint-outs and submit up to 4 paintings to the show. Our last two official group paint-outs are on Thursday Aug 13 in Wagg's Woods, Mindemoya. And on Monday August 17 in Willsville. You can still make it if you want to.
All paintings submitted to the exhibition must have been painted between April and August 2026 outdoors, on location, across Manitoulin Island.
There is no fee to participate, it's free, and open to the public. Thank you to those of you who officially registered by sending us a message (there is no registration form, just let us know). The poster with the participating artists names is being finalized this week, if you haven't confirmed your participation, and you wish to do so, let us know by sending us a message. We can also send you the participation guidelines if you have not received them.

Hi everyone, there is a group paintout on Wednesday July 29 in Kagawong, if anyone can make it, Kagawong market is open from 10 am till 3pm. Aside from the market, you are free to paint anywhere in Kagawong. There are many scenic spots in Kagawong around the Park Centre, the Old Mill Heritage museum, the marina, the small lighthouse and the swim beach.
