Be part of one of the 126th Emo Fair's most anticipated traditions!

We're inviting businesses, community groups, organizations, sports teams, schools, municipalities, clubs, families, and individuals to decorate a float and join the fun!

🌻 2026 Parade Theme: 🧵 Sew It, Grow It, Show It! 🌾

Get creative and showcase your organization while celebrating agriculture, community, and everything that makes the Rainy River Valley special!

🕦 11:30 a.m. – Parade Line-Up
🏆 12:00 p.m. Sharp – Float Judging Begins
🎉 12:45 p.m. – Parade Starts

🎖️ Prizes will be awarded in several different categories!

📍 Parade Route: The parade begins in front of the Emo Hospital, travels along Front Street, turns onto Queen Street, crosses Highway 11/71, and finishes at the Emo Fair Grandstand at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Whether your float is big or small, serious or silly, we'd love to see you take part in this year's celebration!

The 126th Emo Fair Horse Show welcomes miniatures, ponies, light horses, and draft horses for two exciting days of competition, fun, and great sportsmanship!

🌟 Fair Board Feature – Honouring Dorothy Bonot 🌟

Some people leave a lasting mark on their community—and Dorothy Bonot is one of them.

For many years, Dorothy dedicated countless hours to the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society and the Emo Fair, helping shape the fair into the cherished community tradition it is today. As a Fair Board Director, volunteer, exhibitor, and passionate supporter of agriculture and community, her influence can still be seen throughout the fairgrounds.

Perhaps her greatest legacy was creating the Emo Fair Queen Contest, a program that inspired and empowered young women for more than 50 years. What began as an idea to help build confidence and leadership grew into one of the Fair's most beloved traditions. Today, that legacy continues through the RRVAS Fair Ambassador Bursary Program, carrying forward Dorothy's vision of encouraging leadership, community involvement, and personal growth in the next generation.

Dorothy also believed wholeheartedly in the Exhibition Hall, encouraging everyone to share their talents through baking, sewing, gardening, crafts, art, and more. She led by example, always entering exhibits herself and reminding us that the Fair is about bringing neighbours together and celebrating the best our community has to offer.

💚 Her passion, dedication, and love for the Emo Fair continue to inspire us today.
