Elevate Dance Company Elevate Dance Company is a 3rd generation dance studio with nearly 50 years of preceding family dance history in Elmvale, ON.

EDC offers children's dance lessons for ages 3 and up, with classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Musical Theatre.

Working on right vs left.

When our Beginner dancers (ages 6-8), are being challenged with steps that travel or turn in different directions, we use colour coded stickers to help develop our sense of direction. These coincide with stickers placed on the mirror beside R and L - a helpful tool in our learning. We're mastering directional changes with ease! 👈 👉 👍

In our Pre Classes (ages 3-5), we start direction changes in reference to the teacher - we move to 'Miss Lindsay's side' or to 'Miss Maddy's side', which is an equally useful learning tool before moving to the specifics of right and left.

Checked a major dance bucket list item off over the holidays!! ✔️ Miss Lindsay and Miss Ashley had the most ✨️spectacular✨️ time in New York City seeing the world famous Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular!

The precision of this iconic dance troupe was remarkable, and we were lucky enough to see them perform in their 100th year. Our favourite numbers included the rag dolls, the double decker bus routine, and the wooden soldiers.

Finally seeing the Rockettes was an amazing experience, made all the more special by taking this trip in honour of Miss Peggy, a true performer through and through ❤️.
