Black Creek Originals Susan Levesque loves to use the hard shelled gourd as her canvas. These tie in well with the nature of her art which is inspired by the wildlife she encounters.

Susan grew up in Elliot Lake and feels fortunate for the nature that surrounds her. Having spent many of her younger years at camp with her family, she had the opportunity to see wildlife up close and this has been the inspiration for her art. Now it is paddling down Black Creek, just off highway 108 and the animals who visit this area that inspire her. Susan loves to use the hard shelled gourd as a canvas, they tie in well with the nature of her art.
